Training Days

Checking back in on DS and at the crash site, its daylight out and the once blazing fire is now burned down into smoldering ashes. The torches that were lit all around the tents are smoked out. DS is kind of hanging around under one of the tents he made up with a drawing pad and a smirk on his face while coming up with different drawing plans for the motion to conquer the war games to come. Muttering to himself now as he tries to work out the proper plan of action. “Hmm, well if they lead up from the south…”, pausing himself for a moment in a solid train of thought. Then right back to it, “No wait?! Yeah, cause we could counter from the east if they did that…”. Scribbling on his pad some while he try to make the best work out of the plot line. Quickly becoming frustrated as he snaps up and out of the tent space, “But if we do that, it would leave the west and north open for anything. UGHH! SHH! This would be SO MUCH easier if I knew the numbers of both armies. MAN! I hope the kids are smart enough to think to come back to site if they have the free space. Well, I suppose we'll just have to find out. In the meantime, I guess I’m stuck, back to the drawing board.”.

While DS continues to struggle with himself on the planning of the war strategy, James and John are being rounded up from the barn house, where they slept in a bed of hay and dirt. Somehow, James managed to get close with the Wilderbeast he had been brushing the prior day, and ended up cuddling with it through the night. John was too scared to take that chance, so he just laid up in the corner with a bundle of hay sprawled out over top of him. Being woken up by the excitedly stern tone of voice coming from The Guilded leader. “Alright boys! Are you ready for combat training?”. James being the first to respond, “I mean, no not really.”, John sleepily props himself up with a large yawn as he says, “Are we being honest?”. The leading Borenthian steps up with a laugh as he says, “Good! We’ll start with hand to hand, and then move on to specific weaponry.”. Sprouting up with a slight fear in his voice, James says, “Awe crap.”.

The two boys are swooped up by the guards and slung onto the backs of their Wilderbeasts, then being whipped around on the backs of the beasts as they are dragged off into the distance. While the troop is trotting along down the path, the leader turns to the guards and instructs. “Alright troops, I know you've all been through this BEFORE but, it seems we have a few new minds to BREAK! Why don't you give them a rundown of WHAT we'll be doing on the first days of training.
